I ran this sample roast based on Rob Hoos’s recipe. I charged at 392F, dropped at 395F with a 10-minute roast time, and 13% mass loss.
This was my first time using this recipe, and there are a few things to note here that I’m not accustomed to.
The result was okay. Some of the berry notes were coming through, but overall its cupping clearly underdeveloped still. Notes of berry cereal (captain berry crunch comes to mind) and ginger.
I want to reroast this sample size with the fan a level lower and aim for a higher drop of 397F-399F.
